Canadian Parliament asked to have ET hearings by DesertRat662006-11-19 12:55:59
  Geez, that's embarassing. by ag_wyvern 2005-11-25 10:24:44
Do I think we've been visited by teasers? Maybe, who knows. Don't really care.

Do I think there is life 'out there'? Yup.

Here's the thing, though. The way I see it, if some civilization develops the ability to cross interstellar distances, they're going to spread out for one of two reasons: to expand knowledge or to expand territory. If knowledge, they'll be bright enough to accept any mis-statements by us. As well, they'll no doubt be able to handle our defenses if necessary. If territory, they're not going to be in a negotiating mood.

As for his comments... sorry. The chances of inter*stellar* conflict are slim enough; the chances of inter*galactic* conflict... pffft.

:-)
