1) Nobody blamed the US (for a change), and it didn't look likely. I think you're safe there. (I know - it surprised me too!)

2) We (in the UK) have a government that has spewed forth little but "pure rhetoric and spin of the most dishonest kind" since they were elected; even before. The second article wasn't really a news report - it was a comment, which is to be expected to be tainted by the journalist's bias. That's why the title was "Telegraph Opinion". The first article was a news report, and seemed fairly balanced, open and honest to me. That said, The Guardian (like any other papers) tends not to be *completely* impartial.

Your best source for impartial news (in my opinion) is the BBC - their mandate states that they *must* be impartial at all times.
