1) Nobody blamed the US (for a change), and it didn't look likely. I think you're safe there. (I know - it surprised me too!) 2) We (in the UK) have a government that has spewed forth little but "pure rhetoric and spin of the most dishonest kind" since they were elected; even before. The second article wasn't really a news report - it was a comment, which is to be expected to be tainted by the journalist's bias. That's why the title was "Telegraph Opinion". The first article was a news report, and seemed fairly balanced, open and honest to me. That said, The Guardian (like any other papers) tends not to be completely impartial. Your best source for impartial news (in my opinion) is the BBC - their mandate states that they must be impartial at all times.
