Actually, he was probably picked on much less than most precisly because we was a little loopy. Picking on him resulted in him doing off-the-wall things that no one wanted.

Despite him being a terrible soldier and weirder than anything, we all tried to take care of him. Including at least one fight that I know of when someone from another battery was giving him a load of grief over something and two of my troops beat the hell out of the guy. One of them, Corporal Eugene.
