| I was color guard at Utah Beach for the 50th Anniversary of D-Day. I cannot begin to describe the number of hours I spent doing drill and ceremony preparing for that (And mind you, I had already been in for a few years at this point). I would almost rather be shot at then spend 9 hours a day in the sun doing rifle movements. I can't imagine being part of the Old Guard at Ft. Meyer. I had plenty of friends who did it, and every last one of them was sick in the head. I swear. Probably has something to do with why Ft. Meyer has the highest per capita drug use of any Army post. |
