My target weight is still not the ideal weight according to BMI. It's in the overweight category but not in the obese category.

<18.5: Underweight, 18.5 &#8211; 24.9: Normal, 25.0 &#8211; 29.9: Overweight, 30.0+: Obese

at 6'4" and 290#, I'm a 35.3
at 246#, I'd be at 29.9
To hit the 24.9, I'd need to be 204.5#
To be on the thin side of "Normal", I'd have to weigh 156#

Dear God, to be just about Underweight I'd need to lose almost half my weight. Even the "Normal" sounds way too thin to me at this point.

So, I'm shooting for getting out of the obese category as my first major goal. I'm going for 5% increments to keep it real. right now that means 14.5# to lose

The BMI is not the be all end all of the numbers. There's Body Fat %, and muscle mass and etc... Heck, my buddy is nearly as Broad as hise is tall, and isn't fat... but he breaks this chart.

My current pants size is loose fit 42"
