What to do with my IVR system? by krisguy 2006-11-19 12:55:59
I have been playing with Asterisk@Home for about a month now, and now I want to do something that is just fun.

My plan is to get a Free World Dialup account and make the craziest dialing tree in the history of geekdom. Think about text-to-speech conversions, playing of .mp3 and .wav files, think having my server run a ping test on an IP address that you punch into the phone and voice respond with the results, etc.

So come on geeks, phreaks, and phone junkies. What kind of craziness should I think about making?

NOTE:Asterisk does have the ability to play .mp3 and .wav files, plus it's own text-to-speech software, plus it can use PHP scripts, Perl scripts, Python scripts. If it can be done using these things (and maybe others), I want your ideas.
