  Cabbage Soup Diet: by RetiQlum2 2006-11-19 12:55:59

Regardless of what diet you're on, the soup can ease hunger pangs and actually has negative calories by the time your body finishes processing it.

6 large green onions
2 green peppers
2 large cans of tomatoes
1 bunch of celerey
1 head of cabbage
1 package of Lipton Onion Soup Mix
Salt, pepper and spices to taste.
Cut vegatables in bite size pieces and cover with water. Boil fast for five minutes, then simmer until veggies are tender.

I suggest cutting the size of the recipe in half, and adding more spices every day. If you don't cut the recipe in half the eggies get soggy by the time you reach 4 days. If you don't add different spices it gets boring. The more soup you eat the more weight you lose. I use a lot of garlic on the first day, and add red-pepper/hot sauce as time goes on. I also usually add boullion cubes to increase the flavor. You can take a thermos of it to the work with you.

If you try the actual diet, I'd suggest talking with your doctor first.

From personal experience, the times I've tried it I lost 15 pounds in a week. It stayed off for a while too, it wasn't water-weight.

IMNHO you need to vary diet as well as exercise. Please note: this diet is a one week ergimen. If you need to lose more weight wait at least two weeks before going on it again. I imagine there are plenty of people who would tell you that this is bad for you.

Good luck on your endeavor.
