Advice needed by watsondog 2005-10-06 16:40:17
I have an Averatec laptop (model 3250HX). I've noticed recently that the connection between the power cord and the power input is shaky - if I move the laptop or if the cord moves a bit, it'll suddenly switch to battery power.

I'm assuming there's a loose wire somewhere. The last time I had it in for repair, though, it took five months to get back. Could this be a possible DIY repair, given that it's out of warranty?
