And also not what I said. I asked if you were against equal opportunity employment laws in general, and your answer seems to be "sort of."
As for the law, if SA's position is legal (as it has been deemed to be), then so it is legal. I haven't stated that they've done anything against the law, only that I think (as does BloodyViking, which is how I got dragged into this) that if an organization takes government funding, they ought to be abiding by government hiring principles.
This goes for Planned Parenthood as much as it does for the Salvation Army, in my book. Your position however seems to be that either one of them should be able to hire who they like, so I guess you don't actually have a problem with the pro-lifer not being given an application (a circumstance we have yet to see an example of anyhow), while I do. Given that, I guess we understand each others' positions, different though they are, so we can probably be done. :) |
