I'm looking for examples of by hadji 2005-10-06 11:33:30
significant, 20th/21st century historical events that can be symbolized with a single image.

Examples:
Nuclear attacks on Japan/mushroom cloud
moon landings/astronaut on the moon
Trade center attack/Manhattan skyline sans towers or a smoking tower.

Things like that. They don't have to be U.S. related, but they should be the sorts of events that would be known world-wide. And if you have a link to a related image, that would be great.

Thanks in advance. :-)
