Here, as they go pretty in depth. Basically from what I've experienced, make sure the seat can go high enough if you're tall, look for a good solid frame, and hard plastic bumpers on the front and back of the saddle, as you will dump it hard a couple of times while you're learning. Also, I don't reccommend a quick-release lever on the saddle post, because I can't get it as tight as a traditional (bolt and wrench) fastner. This is important, because when you start you wobble a lot, and this can twist the saddle around if it isn't tight enough.
I paid 85 euros for mine, along with a pump and flat kit.
It's definitely more work that riding a bike, but it's a whole lot more fun. Mine has a 20" wheel, and I'm actually not sure what brand it is.
