I read one of the Halo books because of my teenage stepson. Of course, he liked the game. Of course, I despised the book. A lot of mindless hacking, no plot whatsoever. It had MIND-STUPIFYING-GAME written all over it. Fortunately, he later upgraded to much better reading material, thanks to yours truly... 8)
