Invoke: Uficle by SouthpawPL 2005-10-06 08:14:31
I need some help with a riddle.

A radio morning show I listen to has a weekly call-in contest: "Stump the Joke Czar".
Last week, someone succeeded with the following joke.
The only problem was that the caller didn't know the punchline, either!
They've had people calling in for ten days trying to suggest punchlines for this joke,
but none of the suggestions fit the logic of the set-up. Here's the joke:

Farmers make it,
Carpenters have no use for it,
Poor people hate it.
What is it?

Does anyone know the punchline to this riddle?

I want to be the one to call in and say "I really do have the answer, and it fits!"

Actually, by this point I'd have to do it by email: they've gotten so fed up with
stupid answers that they're hanging up on people...
