UFie Ordnance Corner by Ordnance_Corner2005-10-06 07:34:48
Saw an interesting defensive pistol posture on by ChuckAB 2005-10-06 08:13:28
CSI the other night. Not sure I liked it, but the thought was interesting:

Step back from potential attacker to about 4 feet.
Turn about 45 degrees toward shooting hand.
Hold weapon in shooting hand near chest while aimed at potential attacker.
Extend non-shooting hand/arm toward potential attacker to act as a "stiff-arm" block.

Good points: Protects weapon from being knocked from grip. Helps defender stay away from attacker. Gives defender enough time to resort to deadly force with a chance of hitting the target should the attacker attack.
Bad point: Defender could shoot self in arm.
