...wire eight figure sums to some worthy charities and the university I graudated from. That'll pretty much negate paying income tax for the year. :-D In terms of the university, they might be more willing to extend scholarships if I did grad school there later.
Pay my debts (all accessible online).
Run to the car dealership down the road and point out a nice dependable luxurious car that will last. Point out a few more for brother and Dad and Boyfriend.
Assuming that it "stays bought" if I plunk down the cash/check, Run to the realtor's office and put down full cash offers left and right on real estate in my area, and the areas where my parents and brother want to buy (all the same state). Pre-pay property taxes and insurance (all policies) as far out as they'll let me. I'd probably also buy land- including a largish stretch of Lake Michigan shoreline a ways north of my hometown. Turn it into a park instead of @#$%! condos.
All this could be accomplished within the day if I scrambled. Up to the car dealership, within an hour.
Assuming that the money tap still holds, run down to Home Depot and get loads of painting, carpeting/flooring, appliances, in short the stuff I'd need to remodel all the homes/apartments in this area I just bought.
After that, just book a lot of airline tickets, hotels, cruises, and travel packages. If the money tap holds, buy lots of electronics, books, musical instruments.
I'll have rental income off the real estate, nice homes, for myself and my family (and my parents can sell their old home to supplement retirement). I could keep working if I wanted to, but I'd have a heck of a lot less to worry about. If I stayed in my current field, my strategy would make buddies with a lot of realtors and increase my contacts.
The only drawback would be that I'd NEVER get any peace from the charities again :P |
