MS/AD group policy question by romandas 2005-10-06 04:20:11
Is there a GPO that can be set to redirect existing users to the correct location that their favorites are pointed? We have an OU within a Windows 2003 Active Directory that is having problems with domain users viewing their favorites. The only GPO that is different from any other OU is the redirection of My Documents to "H:\My Documents."

Significant information:
1. The favorites are redirected to "H:\My Documents" and there are favorites in this folder and they are NOT hidden
2. My Documents is redirected to H:\My Documents.
3. The "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders" key is set to "H:\My Documents".
4. When the user opens I.E. there are no favorites. When they add a new favorite it goes to "c:\documents and setting\%username%\favorites."
5. If an existing user is moved into the OU they can still see their favorites.
6. If an existing user is moved to a different OU they cannot see their favorites.

This is really stumping us here, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
