I was thinking (since I'm getting married and so many of my family are coming) how rarely my mom's siblings can all get together, considering the large distances between them. That set me thinking: How far would I have to travel, starting at one of my mom's family, to visit each sibling in her family (starting at, for example, Uncle Eddie's house, then going to my mom's house, then Uncle Mike...)?
Answer: Minimum distance approximately 13 330 miles = 21 450 km.
That's a *long* way. Anyone else have separated siblings? (If I look at my own siblings, the answer comes out to about 1800 miles = 3000 km.)
Out of curiosity, I may repost this tomorrow to see what anyone else thinks. |
