Thats kind of the point isnt it? The altruism of a country (as an entity) tends to end at its borders... If you value life over everything else the post i responded to indicates the same flaw in your valuing of that life as you accuse Bush of. Its just at a different level. As POTUS his responsibility is primarily to the US and its economy and its jobs and its supply of oil etc etc He draws that line very succinctly. (spelling?) The problem I have with that is that the US isnt separate from the rest of the world - despite any attempts to delineate it and make it of its own. Pollution generated there travels the world over. Problems generated there do too. I dont claim to know what the solution is but I do think i know what it isnt... Me first or my liberty over yours isnt
