well it is a city after all by gibuu 2005-10-04 15:11:45
those are all problems that beset large cities. the ranking referred to is a ranking of cities....

Those problems in my community? a tiny remove rural community of 300? Well while traffic and concerns about crime is less there are benefits to living in the city as well that we do not enjoy. Access to medical care for example - police response time for another (there are about 4 police officers responsible for the entire valley iirc (five communites stretched along over 80 km of road.

Cost is cheaper - i bought my house n lot (with the help of a homeowners grant) for 15,000.
Jobs are harder to find
While I have a good job umemployment in the valley ranges from about 30% to 80%. Most jobs are seasonal (forestry and fishing).

Bottom line you take your lumps whereever you live. If you wanna live in a city I guess some people think Vancouver BC is the best one. That doesnt say Vancouver is awesome just that its the best City.
