It likely has to do with "the perceived threat of terrorism". I posted the list above for you. And to answer the other question, what do I dislike about Vancouver? Cost. Poor transit coverage outside of the core. Auto theft. Drug crime. Violence downtown. The endless smug crowing about how beautiful it is when it's full of ugly buildings and pollution. Traffic. The isolation of individuals and de-emphasis of community. Posing fashionistas. A municipal government that is so busy passing laws about weapons in space that it can't be bothered to govern. A few things.
