New hockey rules by tallastro2005-10-04 12:51:11
Goalie pads have grown! by trapperjohn 2005-10-04 13:09:56
They are huge compared to when I played goalie in 78. I realize the newer materials are much better and lighter but I am sorry if they expand anymore there won't be much of a net left to shoot at.

I don't understand the need for the smaller puck handling zone rule but other than that I agree with your choices.

Living in Sacramento the last 9 years has been he11...these folks have no idea what hockey is and the 3 hour trip each way to see the Sharks is just not worth it. Now that I am in Las Vegas the wife and I are talking about getting season tickets to the Vegas Wranglers (ECHL), two seats at mid level are about $1400 and there are 36 home games. 20 bucks a ticket is not too bad in my book. Beats trying to get anything but a nosebleed ticket at the Garden.

And yes, my lovely wife is a native Californian who grew up on a farm and met this weird geek from NY who introduced her to hockey. She loves it! Thank god for the good women in this world!!!! ;)
