| ...so much as we're just paying the price of our influence. For some reason, US politics seems to be a delight for conversation around the world (don't ask me why; it either bores me or enrages me -- not somethng I'd like to chew over after dinner, really). But, then, any nation which chooses to demonstrate its influence as often as we seem to, both for good and for, well, "not-so-good", has got to expect to be the topic of conversation amongst its neighbors. After all, they have as much right to talk about us as we do -- we're intruding as much into their world as into our own. |
