attempt at ensuring the person nominated has had job experience relevant to the job. (not like the former director of FEMA).

I know that being a lawyer isn't even required for a Supreme Court position, but how many appointees in the past hundred years have had no judging experience? How valuable do you think some experience as a judge is to someone on the Supreme Court? Yeah, that's what I thought, too.
