This is just another attempt of someone sending an email that they want you to think appears to be from paypal....that email address was never actually added to your account. If you had followed it to "fix" the "problem" you would have probably ended up at a site that looked exactly like paypal's login site where they would have harvested your real login and pass....you did the right thing!
