Reading critically, that is. For example, when I read about something Not Good and someone shrilly complains "It's Bush's fault!" my BS metre starts sniffing around. Not everything is his fault, and not everything good that happens is to his credit. As I mentioned before, I try hard to keep emotion out of my absorption of the news.
