Aid Request: Time/Freq displays & data signals by theanomaly2005-10-04 10:12:06
  RS232? (Wild guess). (n/t) by Peace_man2005-10-04 10:16:02
RS232 utilises BPNRZ. (and more information) by theanomaly 2005-10-04 10:28:33
I'm re-analyzing my other signal that I assumed was UPNRZ. It *is* a ni-polar signal, so it will either be UPNRZ or UPRZ, but I'm really thinking it is the former. Which still leaves me in the lurch on that second signal :/

I'm basing my analysis on the amplitudes and points of minimal inter-symbol interference, and trying to rebuild the digital data stream on that (the M.I-S.I. points are on the original analog signal). The BAUD rate is 4K, the cutoff frequency is 4KHz, and the pulses are at about 250us. The voltage levels on my unknown signal range between +900mV and -700mV. Analyzing it using MAMI or AMI almost makes sense, except for a portion where it doesn't invert itself to indicate a change in digit - it stays at the negative voltage for 2 pulses. You could see that on a 2B1Q signal, but nothing else from that signal makes sense if viewed as a 2B1Q.

If I threw the scans and such up now, would that help you at all perhaps?

      s/ni-polar/bi-polar. Isn't a MontyPython signal :) (n/t) by theanomaly2005-10-04 10:29:28
      I'm afraid I can't help you. by Peace_man2005-10-04 10:32:29
        Not a hope, sorry. Class assignment :) (n/t) by theanomaly2005-10-04 10:44:33
