cores, albeit small ones. Jupiter's, for instance, is estimated to be no more than 15 times the size of the Earth.

All the heavier "rocky" elements (nickel, iron, silicon, etc.) fall to the center, all the lighter "gaseous" elements (hydrogen, helium, neon...) float to the surface.

Radar (or sonar, in principle) tomographic studies should resolve the cores for sure, without having to vacuum off all the atmosphere (and where *would* you put it?) Does anybody know if any of the satellites have collected sufficient data to permit that?
