Happy Rosh Hashannah by voxwoman2005-10-04 06:43:19
Thank you and L'Shana Tovah by tompaine 2005-10-04 08:08:38
We celebrate more than I did as a kid - except we didn't get a Rosh Hashanah dinner together this year - those used to be as good or better than Thanksgiving (US) at home in NYC.
Here in Fort Collins CO, interest in Judaism is picking up for some reason that I don't understand. The largest Jewish congregation here needed to borrow a church for High Holiday services as we have overflowed our facility. There are also some families that brought in a Reform Rabbi (we are eclectic/Reconstructionist/Renewal) and a Chabad came to town for folks that want Orthodox services.
Eastern traditions are also more and more popular - actually a choice of Buddhist options. Wicce is always around.
Maybe it's something in the water?
Shalom to all and happy birthday to the Universe.
