Serial woes... by MrTrick 2005-09-12 20:59:33
I have been handed a lovely assignment: Figure out why $piece_of_equipment_i've_never_used_before can't be programmed!

There's a RS232->RS422 converter on the back of the PC, and a cable connecting it to the $p.o.e.i.n.u.b.

I want to know (not having done serial stuff before) which lines of the RS-422 side need to be tied together to test that a loopback works, and what application can I do this in?

Using (joy!) NT4
