| Help, my home is being invaded! |

On the side of my house, there's a little bit of roof that juts out. It's not attached to the rest of the roof, it just sticks out from the side of the house about a foot and a half, as if there *should* be a roof over the first story, but the second story covers most of it up.
But anyway. I've noticed that there are wasps buzzing around and entering this little extraneous rooflet under the eaves. Last year, I tried spraying some wasp spray, but that only succeeded in killing the two or three that were sunning themselves on the outside, and making the rest of them very angry. I read online that some wasps will leave their home the next season and find somewhere new, but this obviously hasn't happened. (Wrong kind of wasps maybe?)
What really concerns me is that I don't know how far in they are. They could conceivably go into the wall and elsewhere into the house. That, and considering I'm more than a bit phobic about bugs in general and evil-looking stinging flying bugs in particular (it takes a great deal of controlled breathing for me to be able to mow that section of lawn, and even then I'm shaking for quite a bit afterwards), I want these creatures gone.
Does anyone have any advice? P-p-please? |
