| Looking for an alarm clock soundbyte... |

I overslept this morning, and it wasn't just because I went to bed late. It was because the engineers of my alarm clock decided, in a stroke of brilliance, that they'd put a cancel button on the top with the snooze button.
So occasionally, when I reach to slam the snooze button, I hit the cancel button out of sheer force of habit. It's just like hitting snooze, except that I don't wake up nine minutes later...
I figure that if I turned my computer into an alarm clock, it would be far more effective - it takes a good ten seconds or so to get to my computer and unlock it when I'm coherent - it will probably work quite nicely. I imagine it would take me at least a minute to unlock it and turn off the alarm, by which point I'd be awake. |
