If no NAT is going on, then the src IP is still by bwkaz2005-09-12 16:03:10

Let me change the scenario for a sec by thread_killer 2005-09-12 16:15:12
Core switch is still 111.111.1.2 but the edge router is 112.112.1.1 with a default route in the core switch (0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 gig2/1) and a default route in the router 111.111.0.0 0.0.255.255 gig2/2.

Does that change it? In reality, that is the more likely scenario.

I am, however, beginning to feel as though I had a massive brain fart today. Too much going on I guess.
