LA Blackout by VivianC2006-11-19 12:55:59
  A non-biased question by Kickstart2005-09-12 13:41:03
    Can't give a non-biased answer. by VivianC 2005-09-12 13:59:00
The problem is that oil and power companies won't build more facilities unless they will be able to make more money. The environmentalists have made that a near impossibility with all the regulations and requirements. So how can a politician win? If Bush relaxes the regulations, he is caving to his oil buddies. If the Senate aproves new EPA guidleines, they have sold out to special interests. The most simple path is to do nothing. 30+ years of nothing is why we are in this situation today and the sides are even more polarized.

We need a President and Congress to forget relection and do what is right for the country. Build the plants. Drill in ANWAR. Fund alternative fuel research. Make things more efficient. And then get voted out with the country doing better and every special interest mad.
