It might be too late to become a great gymnist and I figure from our one meeting that the WNBA was never in the cards for you but your life is just sitting there waiting! Like my dad used to tell me, "You're free, white and over 21. You can do anything." At your age, you've basically just been born. You have your whole adult life ahead of you. Barring a criminal record or a kid I don't know about, all of your choices are still open to you.
Take your chances now because the window will close. As a married parent of two small kids, my window is far less open than yours. But this was my choice and what I wanted from life.
Log off, tell your boss you feel sick and go home. Curl up with your cat and a quart of good ice cream and figure out what you want from life. Starting tomorrow, go out and get it. You've still got time. Use it wisely. |
