Note to Caffiene addicts: by toxin2005-09-12 08:17:59
((Toxin)) You have my sympathies... by shadowsystems 2005-09-12 10:19:09
I've just gotten over a two day bought of migraine headaches & it was NOT fun.

Finally manage this morning to crawl out of bed long enough to make myself something to eat, and the first SIP of caffeine I had ... made ... the ... headache ... vanish.

I sat there on the floor, looking at the can of soda like "Are you some new form of crack I've never had?", turned the can to make sure it WAS *Diet Pepsi*, and shook my head... (Regular, fully-sugared sodas give me this klind of rush, but it's cause I'm Diabetic and that much sugar can kill me...)

Two days of not being able to stand light, the sound of my cats breathng, or the thought of food, and sixty seconds after ingesting caffeine and I feel like someone jumpstarted the engines, cranked 'em to redline, and hit the afterburners???

I don't think it's psychosomaic, because I wasn't craving caffeine at the time, I wanted *food*. But I grabbed a cold can of Diet Pepsi from the frig while looking for the edibles, and the first sip was like... like... [Harley being kick-started] !POINK! "Ok, gimmie FOOD, let's get this F4'er STARTED!" ****VRRRROOOOOOOOOM*

That was four hours ago. I've been up and active, *SMILING* ever since. I've cleaned my house, done laundry, washed the dishes, cleaned the BATHROOMS, cleaned out the cat box, DUSTED fer criminey sakes! And the headache? WHAT headache?! WOOT!...

So, you have my sympathies. Caffeine headaches *SUCK*...
