I tend to get spoiled when I have time to cook for myself. For example, I like my own marinara sauce, but there are very few other sauces I can tolerate (especially the jarred variety available at the grocery store, e.g. Prego, Ragú, etc.).
I can also make that sandwich with no pickles or mayonnaise, and heat it up to melt the cheese, and toast my sourdough muffin to perfect crispness, and make my own salad from fresh green leaf (not iceberg) lettuce (no olives or pepperoncini for me, please).
Oh, and I also get some satisfaction from people trying my cooking and enjoying it. :> |
