"Chronic daily headache" with intermittent debilitating migraine episodes.
Dull pain, fatigue, light & sound sensitivity, and the odd visual irregularity. Oh, and muscle tension / cramping due to autonomic pain response. And that's on the best days.
Several years of excessive caffeine are a contributing factor. But "cold turkey" does VASTLY more harm than good in my case. I tried for about 3 months, and the headache hardly let up at all. A 21-day debilitating migraine isn't fun. Now it's a couple sodas or the equivalent, as spread out as possible, every day.
That's actually far more effective than the beta blockers, anti-seizure/epileptics, or anything else they've given me. Triptans, even Imitrex injections, don't do a thing anymore. |
