"we" didn't have anything on the desktops BUT Dell. Of course, having paid a "european" support contract all meant for either french or dutch support, we didn't get connected to "india" often (not at all)
The "three years warranty" seemed to work very well: "What's the tag on your machine sir?" (give tag) "can you get the diagnostic tool top work with me sir?" (often worked well, and IF a transfer-to-floppy was needed before transmitting it we did that)
Most probs got solved the same day, sometimes next, if hardware was involved: "tomorrow or in two days tops" and "dhl" brought the thing, not always collecting the broken part.
Well, broken parts weren't reused internally either.
The "server" things were either Dell or "compaq" then, techies didn't seem to complain about them. |
