or late last year, a driver opened his door without looking, and colected my ankle, as I went past on my bicycle.

I am very grateull that
1)My reactions are a heck of a lot better than my concios mind
- I have no recolection of events between seeing the door open in front of me, and dragging myself and my bike off the road 15-20m beyond the car.
2)I spent a lot of time riding very fast on gravel.
- controlling a bike, while going sideways at the best park of 50km/h in traffic, unintionally, is not a thing one should attempt without practice.

Anyway, I managed not to come off my bike, $diety only knows how.
I think i managed to wobble the handlebars around the door. Along with my upper body. caught my ankle under the bottom outside corner of the door. which pushed the tail of my bike out into the traffic. leaving my skidding along nos towards the parked cars.

end result of all of which was that the door of the car was a little bent, the front quater panel of the car was very bent, the back wheel of my bike was bent and I now have a little scar on my ankle.
