Whatever you call it - I'm having one fitted. And I'm gonna use it on a rabbit... This genius in a VW Rabbit (not a big car) managed to hog THREE parking bays while he just "quickly popped into the shop". Instead of parking between the lines, he parked at such a diagonal I thought he must be an cop attending to an armed robbery. His response to my irritation was: "What's your problem? - there's plenty more parking!"
