My home computer keeps rebooting... by RichLondoner2005-09-12 02:05:26
Could be a hardware problem by thread_killer2005-09-12 02:07:49
Could be, could be. by manxmania 2005-09-12 02:20:10
Before you re-install:

I've found the most common problem for random re-booting is either power (as thread_killer points out) or overheating. (CPU and or chassis/cabinet temp.) Although your fan speed diags may show the fans are running correctly, open up and have a look for Dust Puppy. Another thing that I've had great success with is unplugging and reseating the cards and RAM. Shine a torch into the PSU and see if you can see a "thermal blanket" (crud) covering the components. This can cause large power fluctuations even if you source power is good.

Good luck!
