Will just get the hickups and start installing new hardware.
Done that about (let's see, we have 209 clients here at work, that adds up too...) 209 times.
Works like a charm, just remember to have a system CD or other media with system-specific drivers, if needed. 2K and XP have such a large driver base that it will ident most hardware by default. Some gfx-hardware and specific chipset and hdd-controller drivers might be smart to replace with specific drivers.
