She's been leading you on for years, and now she's decided she likes the dumb & egotistical type. Let her have him, it's what she deserves at this stage. If she's smart enough, she'll get rid of him and come back hinting at an honest relationship. Then turn her down so that you can find a nice, geek-appreciating (including the occasional social difficulties some geeks have) geek-girl of your own.

To Chief: fire, or at least give a written warning to, Miranda. She's creating an unhealthy work environment.
