I never clained a political party in power is our identity, where did you get that from?
Our identity is our policies, our outlook, our culture and society, how other countries see us, how we treat others.
Do you honestly belive that our identity wouldn't change if another party got in power?
That if the NDP got in power taxes wouldn't go up, that we wouldn't shift further to the left, and unions wouldn't have have more?
That if Conservatives got in power, taxes wouldn't go down, social services wouldn't be cut, the country wouldn't be shifted more towards buisness, and things like gay maragiage wouldn't be blocked?
Those are parts of our identity, do you honestly belive if a different party was elected that that identity wouldn't change?
If we had another centerist / moderate party to vote for I probally would, but we don't, and i like my country and culture as they are, even if the liberals have screwed up a bit. |
