You want to protest the closing of a gay bar, sure go for it. I've voiced my protest over local matters before through letters, and, less often, by attending rallies.
What we're talking about is larger. Even in Canada, the majority of people blame Bush for the disaster, and many are quite vocal about it. There's no protests, but there are plenty of misinformed individuals ranting about it. Try telling them that the it mainly wasn't his responsibility or his fault, and you get pretty much the same response you get from the American left. |
