How about this: by Arivia 2005-09-11 11:54:04
Hey, I can go to two rallies tomorrow:
1) The one against Dictator Yuangzhi and his human rights violations halfway across the world, or...
2) The one against my local city council, who are trying to unlawfully close down a gay bar.

Have you thought that the reason left-wingers protest local causes is just that-that they're local?

Unless it's really major(like America saying they're "aerating" the Middle East with tactical nukes), you don't see protests up here in Canada about it...no, we protest about our own, local issues-because those are the issues we can affect. Now, if it's a worldwide set of rallies to call on the UN about something, that's different.

But don't try to wipe away your evils by comparing yourself to the kid half a world away-yes, he's doing wrong, but you're doing wrong too, and you've actually got to answer to us, unlike him.
