Jeez, do you really believe that finding another not-so-relevant link when searching for "Steve Ballmer kill Google" would make Google any less useful?
And second -- much more iportant, people (not many of which are UFfies, I dare to assume) already do this for much less funny reason -- read: profits and other not-so-funny reasons, even anti-abortion and pro-abortion campaigns, along with step-by-step instructions for non-geeks (e.g. here).
In fact this practice got in such widespread use, it spawned the new phrase: google bombing.
While I agree this is a bad thing as such, I can't imagine that any UFfies action or non-action will really make a difference.
In other words, I don't believe, that all UFfies with their own websites put together would manage such a feat -- even if we tried.
But it is nice to think, that it is possible to make a cartoon come true if people stand together. So, let us nurse such an illusion, and don't always be so politically correct.
