First of all, as a matter of faith I believe that the Nation of Israel will not know peace until it becomes at least a large portion Christian (Matthew 23). Whether the current round active attacks on Israel will continue is largely dependent on whther the flow of arms to the radical Palestinian groups can be slowed down enough to allow the Palestinian Authority to establish unquestioned rule in Gaza. If Syria were to stop aiding these groups and acting as a conduit for Iranian aid, I think there might be a chance of making this work for a while.
