I could just see the CA government doing it just to tick off the US.

Reminds me of a TV show the other night where they said that calling pot a gateway drug was like calling birth a gateway to mass murder. "Show me a serial killer who wasn't born."

As an aside, is the Canadian government really influenced as much by US policies as it seems? The only reason I ask is because I've been seriously considering immigrating to western Canada, and didn't want to end up in the same mess as here.
