Well, the Red Sox did win the World Series, so I think the temperature has dropped. The US will probably start to phase troops out early next year (See other posts for details) However, I don't think a complete withdrawal should take place until Iraq is more stable. Leaving before the Iraqi government can fully take control will only leave a vacuum that will be filled by those who want power at what ever cost. That's not a government I want to see.
